Floral Residence is an Australian boutique brand created by husband‑and‑wife team Mike and Katherine Chamberlain. Inspired by Katherine’s background as a florist and her hand‑painted floral artwork, we transform her original designs into premium silk and cotton‑velvet cushions. Each piece blends artistic beauty with timeless floral design, bringing handcrafted elegance into modern homes.
Floral Residence started with an unexpected spark. One evening, Mike came across a YouTube advert about starting a side hustle. Something about it struck a chord. He felt inspired, motivated enough to sign up, learn more, and explore what kind of creative venture he could build.
The answer was already right beside him.
Katherine had previously owned her own florist, creating beautiful floral arrangements and photographing her work. Mike often tagged along as her behind‑the‑scenes camera operator, capturing B‑roll footage and watching her artistic process unfold. Over time, he saw how naturally her creativity flowed from arranging blooms to painting floral canvases by hand. Her design flair and artistic talent were undeniable.
Mike realised that Katherine’s artwork deserved to be shared with others. Her floral paintings carried a beauty that shouldn’t stay hidden in a studio or on a shelf. So together, they asked a simple question:
